Hello everybody
My name is Simone, I’m 41 years old and I currently live in Basel, Switzerland. I am the Mum of an almost 5-year-old boy. Our family loves the water so if we have time you will find us in or on the water :-).
My background
I have a university degree in economics and worked in Marketing almost all my career. During my studies, I was coaching a fashion start-up in Switzerland. Not in terms of fashion but more the legal, financial and logistics part. When I met my partner George we travelled the globe to follow our passion for watersports. We were both kite surf instructors mainly in Cape Town, Brasil and Venezuela.
My family and daily life
One day in 2012 we decided it is time to start something new, something of our own so we went to Switzerland and began with a start-up in the event industry. Of course, it was not always easy working and living 24/7 as a couple but we were a great team. Our son was born in 2015 and after 8 years of working a loooot, in 2019 we decided to take a break and go on a travel around the world with our little family. Our business was in the good hands of our crew and we took the risk and just did it. The travel was cut short due to Corona but we had a great 6 months. During these 6 months we had the time to discuss our future. We both agreed that it is time to separate our business relationship in order to be a happy family. So I decided to leave our business in the hands of my partner George and start something new myself.
I am very motivated to start something new because I love new challenges and I strongly believe that it is now time for me, to follow my passion, which is fashion and design.
So, that’s it. Sorry for my English and I hope it’s not too much information. I am looking forward to this great opportunity with LCS and I am very excited to give my very best.
